Greek Salad
It looked different from the Greek salad that I used to have. But when I tried it – my goodness! It tastes great! It was the same salad that I love – the feta cheese, the basil and all. How I missed it! It makes me miss my life on the island. It makes me miss my restaurant. It makes me miss Mandala.
I want to savor each ingredient. With every bite comes a precious memory on mind. A distinct taste. A therapeutic aroma. The exciting flavor. It makes me crave for more. I don’t want to stop. I want to finish everything that’s on the table. But it is past 9 in the evening. A late dinner. Not good for my tummy. Not good for my health. It would be me who will suffer. So Aubrey – discipline. Resist. You can do it. And I did.
I can’t help but write. I can’t help but express. I thank God for this beautiful day. A very productive day. But I believe I can do more.
It is almost midnight. I am sleepy but will wait for the documentary on Macau. I would like to visit the place one day and want to have a preview on what is life out there.
And to sum it all – I thank God for the Greek Salad I had tonight.
