At a street
meeting that was held by a Salvation Army group, a young drummer in the band
reflected on his past life and how it had changed. “Before I was converted,” he
said, “I used to drink a lot, and womanize, but I don’t do any of those
anymore.” Then, he added, “Since I was converted, about all I do is stand on this
street corner and beat this old drum!

A lot of people
– before and after conversion – feel like this man. They get up, go to work,
come home tired and start the day all over again. Or they do the carpool, get
the grocery store, make sure the kids have their lunches and start all over
again.

What’s the
purpose of your life? Simply beating the old drum day after day, or is there
more?

 The Bible says that you were made in the image
of God. That gives definition and purpose to life and contends that God has a
plan for your life. Without God, life appears to be without rhyme or reason, a
journey without a destination.

So how do you
come into relationship with God? The first step is to acknowledge that you need
this relationship.

The second step
is to understand that God sent His Son to bring us into that relationship, to
show us the way back.

The next step is
to find out how God wants you to live – His blueprint, His guidelines for
purpose and fulfillment. You find this in the pages of the Bible, timeless
textbook on living.

Coming home to the
Father allows Him to give you guidance so you can love, live and enjoy. It’s

true enough. it is only through having a personal relationship with God that you find joy and contentment in life. the only way we will have a sense of purpose.

why there are challenges -

- to build and strengthen our faith
- to get us out of our comfort zones
- to wake us up from our wrongdoings and sin
- to refine our faith and character
- to prepare us for bigger responsibility
- to align us to His plan

challenges. we face it everyday. no matter what your status in life. rich or poor. christian or not. beautiful and the not so beautiful.
crisis reveals our heart. testing shows our true color and character. let us look at how BIG is God and not on how big is the problem. let us focus on God more not on the situation. let us always be reminded that God can turn defeat into victory, can turn failure into success and can even turn our tears into pure joy/laughter if only we follow His will. always stand up for what is right especially at times of challenges.
we need to stand up for God. do what is right. don’t exchange your relationship with God to money or anything.
let love reign in your heart. if love reigns in your heart, it will reign in your family, it will reign in others. we need to be reminded that we are an expression of God’s love. don’t allow situations, problems to take God’s love away from us.
